What will I learn in a social research analytics degree program?
Students learn how to translate topics of interest to them into social-scientific research questions and testable hypotheses and learn how to identify appropriate method(s) for exploring or testing them. Through coursework and research, students become able to design and execute social science research projects using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as ethnography, focus groups, in-depth interviewing, program evaluation and survey research. Students also gain experience presenting their research findings to diverse audiences, including academic scholars, prospective employers, policymakers and community stakeholders.
