PEEP

PEEP (Prenatal Exposure Education Project) is a state grant-funded initiative supported by Nevada's Department of Behavioral and Public Health. The project aims to promote evidence-based, values-driven prenatal health strategies, conversations, and early parenting skills, focusing on prenatal exposure and protective factors through an educational series. Additionally, PEEP will offer technical assistance on substance prevention to healthcare professionals involved in prenatal care. This support will emphasize evidence-based practices and screening tools to identify substance use during pregnancy or for those at risk. Throughout this process, we'll also assist in highlighting available community resources and provide a list of referral options when screening or practices are initiated.

The educational series aims to empower pregnant women to adopt healthy behaviors and enhance maternal-infant outcomes through psychological support frameworks, such as Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) practices.
