Nevada Track and Field completed a historic Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships, Feb. 26-28, earning the program’s highest conference finish in the Mountain West era, and the best indoor conference championship finish since winning the WAC Championships in 2004.
Nevada concluded the 2026 Mountain West Championships in second place with 84 points, with Nevada athletes capturing medals in six events, one gold and five silver. The Wolf Pack earned valuable Silver State Series points, finishing eight positions ahead of UNLV in the team standings.
Nevada’s efforts were highlighted by senior Annalies Kalma, who took home a three medal haul, including silver medals in the 400m and 4x400m relays, as well as a gold in the 200m, breaking the school record, running a 23.27.
The Pack took two silver medals in the horizontal jumps, with Meekness Dogonyaro re-setting her school record in the triple jump, jumping out to 13.19m. Dogonyaro now holds silver medals in the outdoor and indoor championships for the triple jump. In the long jump, sophomore Kaja Maltaric took home silver, jumping 6.07m, the second best mark in school history.
Senior Johanna Haas earned a silver medal in the pentathlon, earning 3963 points, the second highest point total in Nevada history. Haas’ performance was an important one for the Pack, earning eight points to the team total.
The final event of the championships was the 4x400m relay with , , and the team for the Pack. Running a 3:38.40, the Pack relay team placed second earning eight points towards the team total.
