Graduate behavior analysis licensing requirements

The Behavior Analysis Program in the Department of Psychology at the 夜色视频 is an ABAI-accredited program and is also a Verified Course Sequence (VCS) approved through ABAI. Our program’s curriculum may lead to certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and to licensure eligibility in Nevada and many other states.

Information regarding BCBA certification

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certifies individuals who reside in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Completion of our program ensures that you will meet the educational requirements for certification. However, the program may not meet other requirements (such as supervised experience). Students intending to obtain their BCBA certification are encouraged to review the requirements outlined at .

Information regarding state licensure

Licensure in most states is based upon your BCBA certification. Although most states recognize graduating from a VCS-approved program and holding a BCBA certification to be sufficient evidence that an application to licensure meets the educational and experience requirements for licensure in their jurisdiction, some state boards have additional requirements beyond ABAI VCS requirements. Students may be able to meet specific educational requirements while enrolled in the Behavior Analysis Program by tailoring their electives and securing practical experiences that will meet the requirements of the licensure board for the given state to which you are applying. If you intend to pursue licensure in Nevada or in another state, we HIGHLY advise you to contact the applicable state licensing board to familiarize yourself with its specific requirements and to determine its eligibility criteria. Contact information for every state licensing board is provided in the table below.
