University Galleries encompasses three exhibition spaces on the ҹɫ��Ƶ campus dedicated to showcasing innovative contemporary art. Featuring regional, national, and international artists, the galleries also support faculty research, student exhibitions such as MFA and BFA thesis shows, and popular events throughout the year. Building on a legacy that began in 1960 with the original Fine Arts Gallery, University Galleries continue to connect the campus, Reno’s vibrant arts community, and the region through dynamic exhibitions and collaborations with spaces like the Lilley Museum of Art and the ҹɫ��Ƶ at Lake Tahoe.

Sheppard Contemporary

Sheppard Contemporary was originally founded in 1960 as the University's flagship art gallery and now hosts a vibrant program of contemporary art exhibitions, featuring artists from around the world alongside University faculty and students.

McNamara Gallery

McNamara Gallery is a flexible gallery space located in the hallway outside Sheppard Contemporary showcasing student artwork, experimental projects and community exhibitions.

Student Galleries South

Student Galleries South is the primary space for student exhibitions, boasting a large variety of student programming, exhibitions and review shows throughout the fall and spring semesters.

The Department of Art, Art History and Design hosts a wide range of events and exhibitions throughout the year, featuring work by students, faculty, visiting artists, and scholars.
