Workers' compensation process

Employees of the Nevada System of Higher Education are covered under workers’ compensation insurance in the event of a workplace injury or illness. In most cases, benefits are awarded without regard to fault.

Income replacement of 66/23% of gross salary up to the weekly maximum allowable. Employees must be certified off work by their treating workers’ compensation provider for five (5) consecutive days or five (5) or more days within a 20-day period.
