The Nevada Career Studio serves as the central hub for comprehensive career support at the ҹɫ��Ƶ. Our dedicated team is deeply committed to assisting students from a wide range of academic disciplines as they embark on their journey toward career readiness and professional development.

Vision

Our vision is to be the University’s leader in providing exceptional career services, empowering every student to pursue their unique career journey with confidence. To fulfill this vision, we strive to inspire growth, cultivate meaningful opportunities, and forge powerful partnerships with employers that open doors and create a brighter future for all students.

Career Mentors

Career Mentors are undergraduate and graduate students who coach, mentor, advise and guide their peers on a variety of career topics. The 2024-25 team includes Career Mentors from diverse academic programs and backgrounds. Career Mentors participate in a competitive application and hiring process, training over the summer and weekly training and supervision throughout the year.

The Nevada Career Studio has had the opportunity to share our innovative model of peer mentoring to national audiences through the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

Diversity, equity and inclusion statement

As a part of the Student Services Division, the Nevada Career Studio is continually seeking ways to learn, improve and iterate. We believe that inclusion and equity only improve when we listen to voices from all backgrounds. We are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment for all students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members from Reno and beyond.

Annual reports

We are proud to share annual reports that showcase the scope and impact of our work. From providing hundreds of hours of career education to managing more than 3,500 annual drop-in visits, the Nevada Career Studio is dedicated to our students' career development and success. First Destination Survey (University Outcomes Survey)

The Nevada Career Studio surveys all new graduates about their employment, continued education, or other plans following graduation. Full Career Outcomes Reports are released every spring for the previous year's graduates. Why do we call ourselves a Studio?

We call ourselves a Studio because this is a space where you make things happen: You practice for an interview, you hit "send" on a job application, you meet with an employer, you learn how to adapt your resume for the job of your dreams. We want to help you take action on your dreams.

Our team is ready to work with you as soon as inspiration hits. No question is too big or small (or too silly) for the Nevada Career Studio Team. We are on the second floor of the Pennington Student Achievement Center. Stop by for in-person help or view our virtual help options.
