We’ve organized these video tours by the type of space that you might be looking for, whether that’s a place to hold meetings or an event, an area to operate your business, or do product prototyping.

Introduction to the Innevation Center

Our 25,000 square foot, 4-story building in downtown Reno provides a co-working space, office space, event facilities, meeting rooms, and a top-tier Makerspace. We are open to local businesses, entrepreneurs, and the community, alongside students, faculty, and staff at the 夜色视频.

Conference rooms

We have a variety of reservable rooms on our first and second floors for meeting or individual use. With capabilities including audiovisual systems, wireless screen casting, white boards and conference phones, we have the right room for your next meeting, conference call or solo video call. Reserve a conference room at the Innevation Center for your next meeting!

Concept Caf茅

Our largest meeting space is equipped with many features that will make your next event special. From comfortable furniture, to advanced technical features, to catering capabilities and flexible presentation tools, the Concept Café has what you need.

Co-working & office space

Overlooking the beautiful Reno downtown area, the co-working space is the perfect spot for collaboration with local entrepreneurs and fellow team members. The co-working space is equipped with two soundproof office phone booths, a kitchenette and open work tables. Throughout the Innevation Center, cubicle and office space is also available for rent.

The Makerspace

The Makerspace offers students and faculty access to a wide range of equipment, software, and fabrication technologies to help bring creative ideas to life. Our facilities include desktop and industrial FDM 3D printers, SLA 3D printers, laser cutters, manual and CNC machining equipment, large-format and vinyl printers, an electronics workstation, a textiles lab, and podcasting equipment. We also provide industry-standard software such as SolidWorks, CorelDRAW, and the Adobe Creative Suite to support design and prototyping.

The Makerspace Woodshop features a full array of professional woodworking tools and machinery, including a CNC router, table saw, and benchtop planer, providing the resources needed for both fine woodworking and larger fabrication projects.

Southside Studio

The Southside Studio is an extension of the Innevation Center and home to the K-12 Robotics Center | 夜色视频. The Southside Studio provides additional space to support Innevation Center companies and to offer resources to broaden K-12 robotics participation and STEM education.

If you'd like to read more about the space we have to offer, here are descriptions of the building layout by each floor.

Floor 0 – Innevation Center Makerspace

  1. Machine Shop
    General metalworking tools are available in this room, along with a laser cutter, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, drill press and sheet metal equipment to create working prototypes.
  2. Design Lab
    In this room, work spaces are available to bring your designs and concepts into reality. The Design Lab houses 3D printers, computer design stations, large format printer and vinyl cutter. It also features an electronics station containing soldering irons, an oscilloscope, a digital microscope, and other electrical testing equipment.
  3. Woodshop
    Makers will find a woodshop, fully-equipped for almost any project. Including a CNC router, spray booth, lathe, thickness planer, SawStop table saw, and an array of other power and hand tools.
  4. Podcasting equipment
    Utilize our audio recording equipment to make your very own podcast or record a professional interview.
  5. Textile Lab
    The textile lab is equipped with multiple sewing machines, an embroidery machine, screen printing equipment, and a heat press.
  6. Multimedia room
    A small, creative space for arts and craft projects and rug tufting. The multimedia room also contains two iMac desktops with full Adobe software suites and Wacom drawing tablets.
Makerspace info & equipment list

Floor 1 – Welcome to the Innevation Center!

  1. Welcome Center
    University student workers will be here at the front desk to greet you as you walk in the door. They will help guide you with information on room reservations, membership options, the Makerspace, and business development and networking opportunities at the Innevation Center.
  2. Concept Café
    This is the main event space of the Innevation Center. Rent this space for your next business workshop, seminar, lunch-and-learn or board meeting and enjoy the benefits of a modular space with AV capabilities and a professional setting.
  3. Ideation Conference Room
    This conference room provides a meeting space for up to eight innovators and is outfitted with a screen for wireless presenting and video conferencing. We encourage the use of our large windows as an innovative whiteboards-alternative.
  4. Venture Lounge
    This room is a comfortable space for small group discussions. The room has a conference table that seats six, a large white board, a telephone and comprehensive virtual presenting capabilities.
  5. Phone room
    For private phone and video calls, a phone room is located on the first floor. This room is available on a first come first served basis and is not reservable.

Floor 2 – Co-working and office space

    1. Stage 3
      Stage 3This is our main co-working space, with both co-working and fixed desk space. Enjoy city views, coffee on site, soundproof phone booths and a lounging area in this members only space. Why STAGE 3? The Innevation Center continues the vision of an intrastate effort to break down silos and work together to make Nevada a leader in the new innevation economy. STAGE 1 & STAGE 2 are located in Innevation Las Vegas and have been showcasing collaborative events since 2011. STAGE 3 will now drive state-wide collaboration to a new level. #lovenevada
    2. Summit Conference Room
      This is our largest conference room that seats up to twelve innovators and is fully outfitted with a whiteboard wall, large screen and a video conferencing system. Enjoy views of Mount Rose in this south-facing conference area on our second floor.
    3. Venture Row
      A limited number of private offices are available at the Innevation Center for founders needing an added layer of privacy for their business. Private offices are by request and interview only and subject to availability; visit the Memberships page or contact icadmins@unr.edu for more information.
    4. Phone booths
      For private phone and video calls, phone booths are located on the second floor. These booths are available on a first come first served basis and are not reservable.

Floor 3 – Incubator space

A bustling scene of a shared office space for a company with several desks and work spaces, each with someone working at them.

  1. Open office space
    Open office areas available for rent to Innevation Center members and companies.

  2. A statewide program that provides Nevada manufacturers with expert resources and programs to improve their processes, increase efficiencies and productivity in order to make them globally competitive and assume a leadership role in their respective sectors.
