The Student Health Center offers services to address a variety of mental health concerns through both primary care and psychiatric providers.
Students can self-refer to our psychiatric providers. Please call (775) 784-6598 to schedule. There are additional charges for psychiatric services.
ADHD treatment is available through the Student Health Center. Our psychiatric providers can evaluate symptoms, discuss treatment options, and help determine an appropriate care plan based on your individual needs. Treatment may include behavioral strategies, academic support recommendations, and medication management when clinically appropriate.
The Student Health Center requires an external comprehensive psychosocial assessment and an official ADHD diagnosis before prescribing stimulant medication. This ensures that treatment is appropriate, safe, and aligned with established clinical guidelines.
